Why is Magnesium Important?

Why is Magnesium Important? Magnesium is an important mineral for healthy heart function, energy production, bone strength and muscle activity.

It is found in a variety of foods including legumes, green leafy vegetables, whole grains and seeds and fruits.

Despite being in a range of foods, many Australians fail to meet the recommended daily intake for magnesium. Certain medications or gastrointestinal disorders can also contribute to magnesium deficiency.

Magnesium has also been linked to chronic fatigue, migraine, headaches, muscular complaints and osteoporosis.

If you suffer from any of the above conditions you may have magnesium deficiency and/or a spinal problem.  To learn more about magnesium and how to supplement, ask your chiropractor.
